Assessing the Options
Course Narrative
It is a good decision to identify and assess the allegations raised in the newspaper article and by Mustia Amanyo in her interview. This is a major national road project. The press is reporting concerns, so it is a matter of national interest. You have reports of suspicious conduct from a credible source.
You therefore now need to consider the allegations, and whether it would be reasonable for you to pursue all or some of them to the next stage of the investigation.
Course Materials
Identify which of the following allegations listed in the box below are raised in either or both the newspaper article and the witness interview to a sufficiently credible degree that you should examine them further.
Click on each allegation which you select.
The three allegations marked correct in the box above are the ones which you need to pursue to as to complete this course.
The three allegations marked incorrect in the box above are not necessarily untrue. Evidence from your investigations may subsequently reveal them to be true. However, no-one has actually made these allegations in a manner which enables you currently to pursue them. However, you should keep these allegations in mind during your investigation, as your investigation may provide further evidence which justifes their investigation.
The Guidance below explain why the investigation should currently be pursued in relation to the three selected allegations, and not the other three three.
